This commemorative quilt tells the story and celebrates the 90 years of service by Chester Street Uniting Church to the Epping community (1913-2003).

The quilt was created by the members of the congregation under the leadership of Meg Orr and was first displayed on Sunday 14th September 2003.

There are five sections to the quilt:
  • Brown - early days: Epping & Cheltenham Congregational Churches until 1977 and formation of Uniting Church in Australia
  • Purple - aspects of worship
  • Blue - community outreach
  • Green - current church life
  • Yellow - looking to the future
The cross is central, and the red cord of the Holy Spirit, running through the quilt, binds everything together.
